What to expect at church

Never been to a church service before? Wondering what to expect?

Our Sunday services are when we joyfully gather together as a community.

Although each week might be a bit different, each service is typically made up of three parts:

MUSIC – we sing songs together to worship God and encourage each other with His truths.
PRAYER – our way of talking to God as a church community.
A SERMON – the best way to learn about Jesus is through the Bible. Each week, we open the Bible together and listen to a talk about what we have read.

Our services have an informal feel and usually last for about 1.5 hours. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay around, say hello and join us for coffee or tea.

To help you find out a bit more about us, we also run an informal session every couple of weeks called Newish after all of our services. If you would like to find out more about Jesus and Christianity in a more informal environment, our Introducing God course is a good place to start.

Early Morning Church

Sundays, 7:45am

Are you an early riser? Join us at 7:45am for Early Morning Church!

We offer an Anglican prayer book service, with the same great sermons and preachers as our other services. This is a great option if you love singing hymns, appreciate a printed order of service, and want to belong and serve in a small, friendly environment.

Please note that we do not have any children’s programs at Early Morning Church. If you’re after a service that specifically caters for children, you may want to visit Morning Church.

Morning Church

Sundays, 9:15 am

Everyone is welcome at Morning Church, no matter where you’re from or what stage of life you are in.

Our service is family-friendly with parents’ room facilities, a crèche and programs for kids up to 12 years old. Afterwards, stay for a cup of tea or coffee outside, or join us at Newish: a session held every couple of weeks to help you get to know us.

Afternoon Church

Sundays, 4pm

Join us at Afternoon Church for a relaxed service with a friendly vibe and plenty of food afterwards! If you’re a young adult, this service is a great opportunity to meet other people in a similar stage of life.

Everyone is very welcome, but we don’t run a kids program at Afternoon Church. If you’re after a service that specifically caters for children, you may want to visit Morning Church.

Night Church

Sundays, 6pm

All ages are welcome at Night church, whether you’re a high schooler or retiree, millennial or baby boomer, a student or have been working for a while.

Please note that although families are welcome, we don’t run a kids program at Night Church. If you’re after a service that specifically caters for children, you’re welcome to visit Morning Church.

Chinese Church

Sundays, 11:15am

If Mandarin is your native tongue, we’d love you to join us at Chinese Church – a family-friendly service run in Mandarin – and share a meal with us afterwards. Our service is family-friendly with a cry room, crèche facilities and a kids program for children aged up to 12 years old. For more information, visit our Chinese language website.
